Sewage Exhibition 2010 Nagoya (July 2010)
In July 27 - 30, Sewage Exhibition 2010 was held in Nagoya. GCUS placed a booth and hosted the 47th Sewage Research Conference/Asia Session and 2010 GCUS Symposium. In 2010 GCUS Symposium, the impact of global standardization on the sewage works in Japan was discussed.

GCUS Vietnam Sewage Seminar (2 February 2010)
With the Vietnam Minister of Construction invited by Japan Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, GCUS held the "GCUS Sewage Business Seminar".

Attending International Conferences
The 3rd Singapore International Water Week (28 June – 1 July 2010)
The 3rd Singapore International Water Week (SIWW2010) was held in 28 June – 1 July 2010 in Singapore. SIWW is the biggest international event of water in Asia, which has been held annually since 2008. The theme of SIWW 2010 was “sustainable city: clean and available water, .focusing on the need for efficiency and cost effective solutions to address water problems amidst a constantly changing environment“. GCUS had a booth in Water Expo Japan Pavilion, and introduced Japanese sewage technology by exhibiting a membrane bioreactor and an SPR process model, which is a technique developed in Japan for pipeline rehabilitation.

The Meeting of the INDIA-JAPAN JOINT WORKING GROUP ON URBAN DEVELOPMENT is held annually by the Ministry of Urban Development, India and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Japan. The 4th meeting was held in New Deli, India. During the meeting Japan Sanitation Consortium, which is a Knowledge Hub for Sanitation in Asia, explained the unique sanitation systems in Japan.
Water Korea 2009, Interchange with Korean Water & Wastewater Works (KWWW) (November 2009)
Water Korea 2009 was held in Incheon, South Korea in November, 2009. During Water Korea 2009, Japan Sewage Works Association, the secretariat of GCUS, and KWWW had an exchange meeting.

Water Environment Federation (WEF) (October 2009)
GCUS attended the 82nd Annual Water Environment Federation Technical Exhibition and Conference in Orlando, FL from October 10 -14. WEFTEC 09 was joined by 7,722 specialists on water with 955 exhibition booths.

The World Water Week in Stockholm (August 2009)
GCUS participated in the World Water Week in Stockholm, Sweden from August 16-22. World Water Week is the leading annual global meeting place for capacity-building, partnership-building and follow-up on the implementation of international processes and programmes in water and development. GCUS attended various conferences and seminars including “Eye on Asia Seminar” with other Japanese organizations to explain the Japanese activities of international cooperation and exchanged opinions with foreign representatives.

The Singapore International Water Week (June 2009)
In the Singapore International Water Week, which took place from June 23-25, GCUS opened a booth in Japan Pavilion to introduce the policy and technology that has been implemented in Japan. and to also expand our network with international sewage-related associations.

The 5th World Water Forum (March 2009)
GCUS participated in the session “Using Professional Networks and Associations to Strengthen the Water Sector" and publicized the inauguration of GCUS as a professional association. We presented what actions to take to solve water and sanitation problems, and the representative of the Japan Sewage Works Association reiterated its commitment to international contribution activities in collaboration with GCUS. Participating countries supported the activities of GCUS, some of which contacted us to develop cooperation.

Water Environment Seminar in Bangalore, India (February 2009)
In February 2009, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Japan (MLIT) and sewage related organizations from Japan held a seminar in Bangalore, India. In the seminar, several topics were introduced and discussed, such as policy and treatment technologies of water reuse, technology for producing energy from sewage sludge.
Participants of the seminar were: (from Japan) MLIT, Japan Sewage Works Agency, Japan Institute of Wastewater Engineering Technology, and 2 sewage-related companies (from India) Urban Development Ministry, Bangalore Water and Sewage Department.
